Captain Steve Coby holds a 100 Gross Ton Masters License, he has over 20 years experience fishing New York area waters. After many years of fishing countless hours of approximately a 100 mile stretch of the Hudson river. Captain Steve and his long time fishing partner Tom Romanoski would enter the1997 Dutchess County Striped Bass fishing derby. Knowing the best fisherman on the river would be in the two day event, they were praying for a top ten finish. Fishing from the same boat, the determined anglers would come out on top with a first and second place finish. Captain Steve would continue his dominance over the next five years with numerous victories and respectable results in Hudson River Striper tournaments.

I spend as much time as possible on the water, basically my whole life has been dedicated to fishing, In 2003 we made the decision to strictly focus on the charter business and no longer have time to fish tournaments. The feeling that comes over you when your anchored in a spot that can produce a record fish. The lines are out and you have the perfect tide, and all of a sudden the reel starts to scream... then the battle is on. When all of these things come together is when you realize... it's a Chance of a Lifetime!
